Do you have a question about a tool, service or manufacturer?  We have answers to many of the general questions you may have about Rideout Tools. If there is a question that you may have, and is not addressed here, please contact us and we will respond fast to your custom question.  Thank you.

Do you accept credit cards for payment?

Yes. Rideout Tool & Machine accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express for payment including payment on account.  Payment by credit card is also accepted for phone-in orders.

Will you ship or deliver my product to me?

Rideout Tool & Machine will ship product directly to the customer for larger machinery and equipment as per quoted terms (as per customer terms, prepaid or prepaid and charge).

For our out-of-town customers wishing to have their products shipped to them, Rideout Tool & Machine can find the best rate and apply it accordingly or ship as per the customer specifications via the customer's preferred carrier collect.

For local delivery, there is a delivery charge as follows:

 - Minimum charge for smaller packages of $6.00 for 50 pounds or less with 75 cents for each additional package to a location plus 10 cents for every pound over 50.

- Minimum charge for truck delivery (table saws and machinery) is $30.

Can I have product special ordered for me?

If we don't have it, we will get it for you.  Rideout Tool & Machine will order your product in for you at regular selling price. Availability of product will be subject to our minimum order requirements and availability of the product as per the specific supplier to be advised at the time of order.  Orders may be rushed in (see below regarding air freight) or come in with regular stocking orders minimizing your cost.  Some special order products (i.e., non-standard stocking items) will require downpayment of 50%.

Can I get my product by air freight?

Rideout Tool & Machine will fly product in for our customers as long as stock is available from our suppliers to do so and will check alternate suppliers as best we can to get the product you need quickly.  Delivery schedules for rush products are subject to supplier availability but are generally 1-2 days for stock items within Canada and 2-3 days for items coming out of the US.

What is your Return Policy?

All products sold by Rideout Tool & Machine may be returned within 30 days of purchase with original packaging intact providing the product has not been used, with the following exceptions:

  • Electrical control and test equipment must be returned within 10 days of purchase with original packaging intact.  All such equipment must be inspected at point of sale to ensure working order and serial numbers must be noted on the bill of sale.
  • Makita and Porter-Cable power tools have a 30-day customer satisfaction guarantee.
  • Repairs are guaranteed for a period of 90 days.

 Restocking charges of 25% are applied for non-stock items or as applied by the supplier.

Where can I get service for the products I purchase through Rideout Tool?

Rideout Tool & Machine services all the products we sell and are the authorized service center for the majority of the vendors we represent.  Please refer to the Service portion of our website for more information.

Do you provide warranty for the products you sell?

Rideout Tool & Mahcine honours the warranty as specified by the manufacturers terms and conditions for the particular product purchased.  Most often, warranty is subject to the manufacturer's approval.  Due to our physical location, please allow 6-8 weeks for many warranty claims of hand tools to be processed.  Warranty work for repairs to power tools and equipment are handled through our service department.  Rideout Tool & Machine also offers extended warranty for our products.  Please inquire about our extended warranty service when purchasing your product.
